Ballymahon Road from the Mullingar turnoff straight into town at the White Gates.

This is nearly completed with only a few more grass verges to attend to. Major work was carried out across from Colm Quinn’s Garage and the grass verge between there and the Cornamaddy roundabout. We carried out much trimming and repairs last summer to enhance this main access road into the town as we see it as the first point of making an impression to our visitors.

Kilmartins Roundabout to Town Centre. This is a very long stretch and difficult to manage with the AIT located on it. However, we are happy that much remedial work has been carried out in the last year and it is fairly presentable. There is a stretch opposite Woodies that need attention and this is subject to resources being available. Some hoardings are spoiling the appearance of the road and we are dealing with this problem with the owners.

Roscommon Road to Town Centre. This stretches from Ganlys Roundabout and includes the Old Roscommon Road. This road has been given a lot of attention. The problem is slightly complicated as the Roscommon County Council is responsible for part of it. However, they normally make a contribution towards the planting of flowers in that part of town. Towards the town centre we have carried out a lot of work last Summer and it is in good shape.

Baylough to the start of Roscommon Road. This is in need of attention and could do with renewal and further planting in order to soften its appearance. . It will be addressed subject to the resources at our disposal.
