  •
      • Fingerpost Signs

For our nature trail walk we needed 17 fingerpost signs. We decide to see how many redundant fingerpost signs we could find, clean and reuse. Contacted and visited Roscommon, Westmeath and Athlone depots. We were able to find 12 signs that we could recycle courtesy of Athlone Town Council.

This has resulted in not only generating financial savings, but has helped us promote best practice regarding waste minimisation.

  • Re-use of last years Geraniums

With the assistance of Seamus Mitchell and his team from National Learning Network we were able to get our Geraniums from our 25 planters re-potted and our tuberous Begonias lifted.

We have had a yield rate of 98% on our stored Geraniums  -  May 2013.
